Weekend Recap 3

This weekend was pretty relaxed. Friday, H had another horseback riding lesson, and her first dentist appointment.

She was pretty scared, so her baby got to come with her. She did so well! The Dentist said she was the most mature 3y/o he had ever had in his office. Since she will have to go back to have some issues fixed, we let her pick out a toy at the Bx to let her know how proud we were.
She picked out an Elsa toy! I was surprised that she found this though since I didn't see any more of them and I had not seen them before. I'm not sure who was more excited about it either, H or me. On Saturday we checked out the flea market the base was having, before taking the girls to get some 4th of July photos done. Then we had a Birthday party to go to.

H was a little tired, but really enjoyed celebrating her friends birthday. We even got to eat at a really cute place in their village. The rest of the weekend we spent hanging out. M even got to use her jumparoo for the first time. She really has been enjoying it too.

Even though we didn't do much, these type of weekends are my favorite! I love being with good friends, and spending time with my girls and hubby.

Weight Watch Wednesday!

This is the first post for weight watch Wednesday and I am super excited! Getting back on track and accomplishing my goal of losing weight! Every Wednesday I'll report what I have been up to in the attempt to shed these pesky pounds. I will also weigh in Wednesday mornings, and share how much I have lost....or gained. Hopefully, those numbers will steadily drop, but I know better then to just rely on  what the scale says. Once a month I plan on doing my measurements too. So to kickstart it all, here are some Before pictures at my current weight 221.7 using my new scale!

Measurements:
Chest-46in
Waist-46in
Hips-49in
Upper Thigh- 23in
Neck-15in
Upper Arm 14.5in

Want to get to 175 in about 6 months. Thats about 2lbs a week. I am sure if I work hard I can get there before M turns 1!

My findings

Many of you, have been waiting to hear about what all I got from the store that was closing down. I am excited to finally be writing this post and sharing!

The first thing I saw and grabbed was this antique milk jug. It makes such a cute decor item in our home and it is a little piece of German history.
We also got this awesome wine barrel and bread oven paddle! We plan on refinishing the barrel and making it a bar table for hubby's office in our next home.
Also bought a second seltzer bottle! I absolutely love these, I had bought one before at one of our bazzars for about 30 euro, so when I saw the store was selling them for 5 euro each I had to grab another!

My best finds came to me free! That's right I said FREE! That wood crate, which holds a demijohn was free and the farm table you see in the picture  above was free! It is the same table in my other post's picture that had all the for sale items on top of it. I asked the owner how much he would take for it and he turned around and said I could have it! I was SUPER excited! It needs a little work like putty, sanding and stain but it is such an incredible gift!
Has some wear that we wont be able to fix, but to us its just character! I had plans on painting it white but Hubby just loves the dark rich tone of it, so I think we will keep it that way. Oh and those chairs we also snagged that day, 25 euro each! So about 30 dollars! SOLID WOOD! It was an all around amazing shopping day! Keep an eye out for upcoming posts, as I will be posting a before and after of the table!

Weekend Recap 2

This weekend was a blast! It started Thursday, with the girls and I having a play date at the bowling ally. It was really the first time H has gone and was able to bowl, with the help of bumpers and one of those ball slides of course. What are those called? Well regardless, she had a blast!

Then Saturday we all went to do a little shopping at some of the German stores. H has had a cough and we found her Haribo Gummy Cough drops! She doesn't even know she is having a cough drop, so I have to keep them up and away so she does not eat them like candy!
Saturday evening I had a Pink Papaya Party. I hung out with a great group of ladies, showed them how to do facials at home, and ate some very yummy snacks!  I could not ask for a better job!
One of the many amazing Products we offer!

Sunday we celebrated Fathers Day at the lake! First time we had been and I can not wait to go back! We had such an amazing time! The weather could have been better but even that did not stop us from enjoying every second we spent there.

We even rented a paddle boat!
Wish the weekend would last forever, but were back to the daily day to day. I will be sorting coupons and meal planning for the remainder of my Monday what are you all up to?

Vacations!

Hubby and I have been living overseas for the past 5 years and have been planning on getting to go back to America April of 2015, but see being a military family nothing ever goes as planned. We now are in Germany an extra year, or at least an extra 6 months for sure. Hubby has some options, and we might get to be back by Nov 2015 but we will see. Now that we know we have more time here we are starting to plan some more trips. Im so excited to say that one of our trips involve Elsa and Barbie!

We already have our tickets to see Frozen on Ice in May, so while we are down for that we have decided to also take them to The Barbie DreamHouse Experience, at The Mall of America.

I am not sure who is more excited, H or me! The  Mall itself will take a couple days to get through and any one who knows me, knows I LOVE to shop! I think we will be skimping a bit on Christmas gifts, and saving more to spend on this trip! We will also plan on this being H's birthday. M will have a party since she is turning 1, and that is a big deal!

But before we set off to see Elsa and Barbie, we will be invading the Uk! November 2014, mark your calendars! Our list of must dos include
1. Changing of the guard
2. Platform 9 3/4
3. Stonehenge
4. Peppa Pig World
5. Ride on Double decker bus

Summer Time

With my lack of consistency, I am going to fill you in with what we have been up to, instead of doing the first WEIGHT WATCH WEDNESDAY post I had planned.

Germany is in full summer mode and getting hot! We decided it was time to start getting out and traveling a lot more. This will be the first  summer we have had the funds, and I wasn't pregnant, so we plan on enjoying every moment we can. It is hard to do though since it seems no where in Germany has AC!

H is starting Horseback riding lessons, and is so HAPPY! It is adorable how excited he was at her first lesson. The horse she rode is named Alex, and she learned the commands to make him go and stop!

She even brought some apples from home, and was able to give Alex and his friends a treat before we wen't home. She will be going twice a month for now, learning the basics and getting comfortable in the saddle. Eventually, if she is still interested in a couple years we want to have her take English style riding lessons. I want both my girls to be involved in many activities, along with her riding lessons, H does Dance and Gymnastics.

Once M is old enough we will have her start too, but at the rate she is going it will probably be sooner then later. She is already sitting up own her own and is super close to crawling!

With the warmer weather came the summer Bazaar on base! We went and H got to jump in a bouncy castle, ride a free swing carousal , and we got 2 free cases of Starbucks energy drinks! We love getting things for free! Which reminds me I need to post about our goodies from the store that went out of business! Look for it tomorrow!

Weekend Recap

Last week we had some trouble here with our internet, so unfortunately I did not get to post as I was hoping to.  However, that just means I will get to post a lot more this week! Last Saturday we did some shopping at a popular store that was sadly closing its doors forever here in Germany. We scored a bunch of cool stuff which I will post all about later this week.

Sneak Peek! Guess what I brought home!

After shopping we took the kids to an all you can eat Sushi place and a German Fair. Two of our neighbors and their families had joined and we all had an amazing time. M was mesmerized by all the lights and sounds. It was a bit cool out so we made sure to bundle her up! I swear when I look back at M's photos she is always riding along in her car seat but also always has the cutest smile ever!

This girl just melts my heart!

H had a lot of fun riding rides! I can not believe how big she is getting! I really miss being in the states with family and my closest friends, but am extremely grateful that I have some great people in my life in Germany too.  They make all our outings in Germany so much fun. I love that we are getting out and enjoying things as a family, we have so many trips planned this year! I CAN'T wait till we go see London and Ireland!

Also this weekend, I took a step towards Goal 1-Making this blog AWESOME, by investing in Sony's QX10.  All the photos above were captured using my new toy! I just can't handle carrying my huge camera everywhere we go, especially with all the crap I already bring for the girls, so this was my compromise. Now all I need to do is learn how to edit my photos and give them a professional look!
